Intervals

Switches effort and rest automatically. Build your HIIT, tabata or rounds workout.

Interval training works with precise times. Set the effort, rest, rounds and an optional prep — the timer alternates the phases on its own, plays a sound at every change and shows the current round.

Ready-made presets

  • Tabata: 20 s effort + 10 s rest, 8 rounds.
  • HIIT: 40 s effort + 20 s rest, 8 rounds.
  • Boxing: 3 minute rounds with 1 minute rest.
  • Training: 45 s effort + 15 s rest, 20 rounds.

Calculate and set your intervals

It is easy to calculate intervals online for your workout: pick how many seconds of effort and of rest you can hold, add them up and multiply by the rounds to know the total duration. Todetermine intervals online that fit your schedule, tweak the effort, the rest and the number of rounds until the total matches the time available — the app shows the current round and the phase in real time, also working as an online interval stopwatch to measure each part of the workout.

Tips

  • Start with a prep of 5 to 10 seconds to get settled before the first effort.
  • Use focus mode (fullscreen) so your eyes do not wander during the round.
  • Keep the phone screen on in the settings so it does not turn off mid-workout.

Intervals for every workout

No matter if you train at the gym, at home or on the street: an online interval counter respects your plan. For strength sets, use rests of 60 to 90 seconds; for conditioning, efforts of30 to 45 seconds with short 15 and 20 second rests. The app shows the time of each phase in real time, so you determine intervals online without timing them in your head — just follow the dial and the sound. If the goal is to measure free stretches or compare rounds, it also works as anonline stopwatch with intervals: start, stop, record and repeat as many times as you need.

Visualize the progress of each round

In practice, the dial is already your chart: every second, the clock moves along with the current round, showing whether you are in effort, rest or prep. It is the simplest way to chart intervals online during your workout — no paper and no spreadsheet. And since every phase change plays an alert, you do not even need to look at the screen to know when to start and when to stop.

Frequently asked questions

What is an interval counter?

An interval counter is a timer that automatically alternates between effort and rest phases, repeating for a number of rounds. It is for HIIT workouts, tabata, fight rounds and any activity that needs precise timings.

How do I build an interval workout?

Set the effort seconds (e.g. 30), the rest seconds (e.g. 15) and how many rounds you want to do. The "prep" field counts an initial warm-up before you start. The app alternates the phases on its own and alerts you with a sound.

What is the difference between HIIT and tabata?

Tabata is a fixed HIIT format: 20 seconds of maximum effort and 10 of rest, in 8 rounds (4 minutes in total). General HIIT can have free timings, like 40×20. Both are available in the app presets.

How do I calculate the total time of my interval workout?

Add effort + rest and multiply by the number of rounds. Example: 8 rounds of 40×20 make 8 minutes of training. Adjust effort, rest and rounds in the settings to determine intervals that fit your time.

Can I see the round progress during the workout?

Yes. The dial shows the current round and the phase (effort, rest or prep), updated every second — a simple view that is the equivalent of charting your workout intervals. A sound plays at every phase change.

Do intervals work as a workout stopwatch?

Yes. Besides the alternating phases, the timer records each round with precision, working as an online interval stopwatch: you know exactly how long each effort and each rest lasted, without writing anything down.
